Romantic Valentine's Day Dinner Tips for Men
Guys, Valentines day is just around the corner. The time has arrived to start preparing for that special romantic dinner for Valentine's Day. Do you feel like you are all thumbs when it comes to the kitchen? You should not sweat it! Cooking is easy! Here are some tips that will help you make the perfect romantic dinner for Valentine's Day.
Keep It Simple
Sounds simple right? It really is! There are some really simple and easy recipes that you can put to work for the best Valentine's dinner experience. Did you know that to make a nice meal of corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes, all you really need to do is know how to boil water, peel a few potatoes, and carrots. You will also need to chop and wash cabbage in a strainer. Easy!
It is also very easy to bake seafood like salmon steaks. Not much more difficult than cooking up some frozen French fries in the oven! Or you can try this easy recipe for pan fried flounder. Pair it up with some mashed potatoes, string beans and a couple of dinner rolls, and a glass of white wine, and you WILL be on a roll!
Stick to What You Know
Are you an outdoor BBQ grill master? Then you can put your knowledge and experience at the grill to work to make something special. Switch it up your cooking habits slightly. Instead of cooking the standard steaks or burgers on the grill, try making some grilled salmon on cedar planks. You can also grill some vegetables like asparagus drizzled in olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss on a couple of tin foil wrapped baked potatoes and you have a complete meal. There are also ready made bacon wrapped filet mignon steaks available at your local grocer. The best part of this meal, is that there will be very little clean, as it was all cooked outside!
Food is Important, But Atmosphere Makes or Breaks a Romantic Valentine's Day Dinner
Clean your kitchen, and if you are eating in the dining room, clean it up to. A simple white or soft colored table cloth with a pair of candles will go a long way to creating a romantic atmosphere in your dining area. Make sure all of your plates and silverware match, and when it is time for dinner dim the lights. If you happen to have access to a PC with pandora, or a good CD selection, place some nice smooth jazz, or Sinatra. But not too loud!
Do you like noisy restaurants. Chances are that you hate going out to eat at hustling and bustling places on Friday night. The wait staff are hurried, and the food just does not taste as good. Noisy restaurants with bad atmosphere ruin good food. The atmosphere for your romantic Valentine dinner will set the tone for an enjoyable meal. The soft romantic atmosphere will help overcome any faults that may occur with your cooking!
